Alberto Gambale was born in Ferrara in 1963. He obtained his diploma in art at the Academy of Bologna where he was a student of Vittorio Mascalchi, the acclaimed painter and sculptor, and of Cataldo Serafini, the renowned engraver.
After an intensive technical and aesthetic research, during which he also made forays into the areas of ceramics and woodworking, he met in glass the principal material for his most recent production in unique works and limited editions.
In his works, the individual and the individual's internal feelings are always present, but in some cases in which there is a single and motional rapresentation of the first, the internal sentiments become the unique inspirations.
For this reason, the characteristics like the colors or the contrast between transparent and opaque, which the medium of glass amplifies, must be considered for his expression.
In his work, his knowledge is clear in the overall creation of shapes that he obtains by a mix of different techniques, including pate de verre and glass etching.
