Luigi Rifani was born in Leros - Greece, from italian parents, on may 1940.
He lives in Venice and works in Venice and Murano island.
Eclectic artist, he is operating on the fleld of visual art since early '70.
Autodidact, he exposed his work to the public, for the first time, on june 1973 at the Bevilacqua La Masa Gallery (municipal art gallery), in Venice.
That very same time he won the Prize for the best design, to illustrate the cover of the catalogue.
Later on he has exposed in several: solo and group exibitions, in ltaly and Abroad.
The Press, the Radio, the Television nad several art-critics took interest in his work, wich includes: graphic works, photo collages, multimedia albums in limited edition, and since 1997 he faced the magic of glass, realizing many unic pieces of great visual impact and impreganted of coceptual energy.
The last glass works (a kind of "wunderkammer", according to Enzo De Martino), we may define "Relics" of the memory, able to solicit numberless reactions - no INDIFFERENCE, anyway.
His works are in public and privates collections in ltaly and Abroad.
